If it sounds too quiet, you may to use "wide" to get what should be the proper level of deviation you would expect on "narrow". If it sounds loud enough on "narrow" then set it on that mode. As been said, PMR uses "narrow". WebNothing in manual or on software. My radio did that on one of the frequencies supposedly programmed. I showed the channel on the display but OFF on XMIT. Read the radio into chirp and found out that channel was missing (blank). Reprogrammed the channel data and the radio now works fine. Something happened with the earlier stored data.
