Absolutely no frills, no huge power (but enough, especially considering the era), just the focus on clean. Come to think of it, all of AR was like that. The AR turntables, IIRC, had nothing auto, just belt-drive, manual on-off switch and a cueing lever. Stripped down to the basics, that's for sure. Dale

You don’t want to use the Technics weight, it will raise the center of gravity of the arm vs the original which is in line with the pivot bearings, arm was designed with the low slung weight for a reason. Finding a replacement AR weight is not that hard.
